Welcome to the Trunch Jidokwan Taekwondo
Club web site.
The club was started in Trunch Village Hall (below) in 1995 when Kim Lovick
returned from Thailand. Two residents of Trunch Village, Courtney and Richard,
had teenage kids, and since there was nothing to do on Sunday mornings, they
goaded Kim into starting the club.
Before working overseas, Kim used to run 8 clubs in and around North Norfolk,
and he has run clubs in most of the places he has worked, so starting Trunch TKD
Club was not too difficult.
The first few years saw a high turnover of students, as most clubs do, but since
then, the "hard core" has remained with regular influxes of new students, more
and more of which are staying longer and longer, which proves the club is doing
something right.
The club is run for the love of the art, not as a business, and so there is no
pressure put on anyone to attend. You can do as little or as much as you
like, but we find that when most people really start getting into it, they can't
wait until the next session.
